IQALUIT, Nunavut — The Nunavut Literacy Council has published the book "Just One Goal," by acclaimed Canadian children's author Robert Munsch, in the Inuit language.

The council said in a news release the project was accomplished with sponsorship from Nunasi Corp.

"Just One Goal" tells the story of a girl who struggles to get a hockey rink built closer to home in her Northwest Territories community.

The council says Munsch stayed with its executive director, Kim Crockatt, and her family when he was in Cambridge Bay a few years ago.

First Book Canada and Decoda Literacy Solutions Join Forces to Distribute Brand-New Books

First Book Canada, working with Decoda Literacy Solutions, is distributing 45,000 books to children from low-income families across the region this week. Over 50 local teachers and program leaders across British Columbia will be picking up books for their programs.
