Charlotte Guérette (1946-2010)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charlotte Guérette. Charlotte was a retired professor at Laval University's Faculty of Education. She authored 20 books on subjects including traditional tales and the use of children’s books in the curriculum, and helped develop a critical reading guide for children’s books in French. Charlotte served on a number of juries for children's literature awards, including the Prix TD de littérature canadienne pour l’enfance et la jeunesse. In 2008, she was the co-recipient of the Claude Aubry Award for her contribution to children’s literature in Canada.
