Kati Rekai (1921-2010)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kati Rekai. Born in Budapest, Hungary, Kati moved to Canada in 1950 with her husband and two daughters. Inspired by her many travels and friends around the world, Kati wrote travel books for young children promoting Canadian and European cities in the Adventures of Mickey, Taggy, Puppo and Circa series. Her books have been translated into a number of languages. In 1993, Kati was appointed to the Order of Canada.
