Readings
I do readings for four different titles. The newest release will be October of 2009– Shoe Shopping with...Dad? We will be promoting that book in Sept/Oct.
Other titles are:
Field Dance – a story about Nature and the imagination
Why Can’t I Have Glue? – a story about the creativity of a child – and boudaries
Neela Potts Has Lots of Knots – a story about diversity – and, of course, knotty hair!
All stories are fun/funny – and engage the children in a lot of personal experience chit-chat.

Workshops
I do creative writing workshops for the younger children – what inspires me to write the stories I do and how they can pull from their inspirations for stories.
For the high school kids – I do publishing workshops. We are an independent publisher – the topics include what we look for in submissions, promoting books, the difficulty in such a competitive field.

Biography
I have been writing – my whole life, really - but my first book, we self-published in 2005. It was then that I discovered the “love” I have for publishing. Now I am able to do both. We try to publish two titles per year – one of my own and one from another author. I spent a number of years teaching Kindermusik (a preschool music program) – which has given me the rhythm that I write with and a sense of comfort to do public readings. I am the mother of two kids – and I have enjoyed creating stories for them, about their life experiences. They are my inspiration.
