Readings
My presentation is an hour long and describes how I draw and how I got started. There is about 20 minutes of drawing (both myself and the kids) plus questions. I show different books I've done plus giving an idea how a book is made. I also do a reading.
Special Equipment:
No special equipment but hopefully a librarian or assistant is present to help with readings and drawing.
Biography
Scot Ritchie is an award winning writer and an illustrator. He has been drawing ever since he could hold a crayon. Today he has illustrated 48 books, some of which he also wrote. He continues to draw his original artwork by hand but scans that in and finishes the illustrations on the computer. His books have been translated into French, Spanish, Indonesian, Polish, Dutch and Korean. He has been fortunate enough to work with publishers in England, Australia, the United States and Korea.
