Readings

I describe writing from concept to publication with all its hurdles and tell about the research involved in both writing and publishing. I do a reading from the book which includes various props I display that would have been used by the characters in my novels. A question and answer period follows, as well as viewing my work and an autograph session.

With younger groups a storytelling session could be involved. Time period is from 45 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the class.

Biography

I have been writing off and on since I was a pre-teen. I have written for local magazines and newsletters. My first published novel is the opener of a series of books featuring the same characters. Two other novels are underway, one almost ready for publication.

My experience as a peacekeeper in the armed forces has given me a unique perspective on world affairs with a chance to travel that most do not enjoy. My time in sales has given me the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, which are often reflected in novels characterization. However my time as a father to my four wonderful children, and the stories I wrote for them has made me a storyteller that kids love to listen to.
