Biography

Patricia Bow has been reading ever since the local library opened its magic doors for her and writing since she was old enough to hold a crayon. After earning a BA in history at Carleton University (perhaps why her books usually have a deep “back story”), she took a degree in library science at the University of Toronto and worked in university libraries for nine years. Quitting to raise her son James, she also found more time to write. She writes what she loves to read: fantasy and speculative fiction with down-to-earth heroes. Several years ago Pat went back to school at Conestoga College, Kitchener, for a diploma in journalism, worked briefly for a local newspaper, the New Hamburg Independent, and is now a communications officer at the University of Waterloo. She is always either writing, revising, or planning a book. Her son James Bow is now a published writer himself, and so is his wife, Erin Noteboom.
