Biography

I’ve been writing since I was 6 years old. My aunt was the first person to encourage my writing, buying me several spiral notebooks to fill. I also used to love telling stories with my puppets, staging elaborate productions for my mother and my siblings.

In grade school, my friends used to get me to draw pictures of my favourite characters in their notebooks. At university, I studied many practical things such as Landscape Architecture and Science because I thought writing was not a legitimate career. But in the end, I studied English Literature and Communications, both in Canada and California, because words are my passion. I worked as a journalist for over 16 years, writing my first novel in 1999.

I love being a writer and I can’t imagine doing anything else!
