Biography
Michele Nidenoff decided she was going to be an artist when she grew up when she was five. She attended the Art Program at H.B. Beal Secondary School in London, studying drawing and painting, graphic art and animation. After graduating she worked as a graphic artist for four years for a small company in London. She moved to Toronto to attend summer school and night school at the Ontario College of Art and Design. At this time she began to work as a freelance artist, doing graphic art, illustration and calligraphy. Since 1987 her work has consisted primarily of illustration; most of which has been for children’s books, magazines, anthologies and textbooks. She has also illustrated numerous stories for children’s television programs on TVOntario. Michele teaches calligraphy and drawing and painting.
