My book, The Co-Walkers, Awakening is a fantasy-adventure for middle graders. It is based on Celtic myths. It is the story of three children (siblings) who embark on an epic quest of survival that takes them to the Faery Realm to learn the truth about their existence and prevent both their worlds from destruction.

I can adapt my readings/presentations to suit the needs of the school. The major themes of my book and that I am prepared to speak about are:

  • the issue of resiliency
  • our vital connection to nature
  • the power within us to create our own story/future
  • The Co-Walker Philosophy

Special Equipment:

Computer projector, if available.

Book Sales:

Copies of books can be brought to be purchased and autographed.

Other Presentations

Available as keynote speaker or professional development day sessions on following topics:

  • resiliency in children
  • "nature deficit" or vital connection to nature
  • The Co-Walker Philosophy
  • experiential learning

Hermine Steinberg is a teacher, mentor, and parent who lives in Toronto and Niagara-on-the Lake with her husband, Barry, and their crazy red poodle - Muddy Waters. The Co-Walkers, Awakening (first of a trilogoy) is her debut novel. The story was inspired by their four magical children and her love of mythology (she teaches history).
