As a multi-genre author, Gillian can share experiences with writing and publishing picture books, chapter books, novels, short stories, magazine articles and non-fiction books. She prefers to discuss specific content with individual hosts to best meet their needs.

Biography

Gillian Richardson is the author of 13 books (picture books, chapter books, novels and non-fiction) for young readers. Her short stories and articles on nature topics have appeared in magazines such as KNOW, CRICKET, WILD and OWL. Her books have been selected for inclusion in the Canadian Children's Book Centre`s annual selection guide, Our Choice, and her short stories have received Saskatchewan Writers Guild awards.

Gillian is an Instructor for the Institute of Children’s Literature (Writing for Children and Teenagers), and writes children’s book reviews for CM. A former Teacher-Librarian in Ontario, PEI and Saskatchewan, Gillian began writing in 1982. She currently works at home in Sorrento, BC
