Biography

Gail de Vos is a professional storyteller who specializes in telling tales to young adults. A former junior high school teacher, she is now an adjunct professor at the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Alberta and the author of seven books on storytelling and folk literature for young adults. Gail teaches courses on storytelling, young adult literature, Canadian children’s literature, and comic books and graphic novels for use in school and public libraries.

OTHER PRESENTATIONS:
Gail is available for workshops and professional development for educators and librarians on the art of storytelling; the world of graphic novels, among others. Gail tailors workshops for individual needs and wants in regards to the art of storytelling and the world of folklore as well as graphic novels.
