Readings

We would discuss the social issues raised in THE TRAZ as outlined in the Teaching and Discussion Guide released with the book. I may invite mental health professionals, addiction counsellors, educators, and/or law enforcement personnel to help with the presentation, depending on time and participant availability and the teachers’ preferences.

Some of these issues include:

The ends justifies the means (doing something wrong to attain a good result)
Options available to deal with depression
Making choices that affect your life forever—positive and negative choices
Swearing—the power of words, the power of the pen, freedom of the press
The differences between gangs and families
Managing money
The influence of computer technology on our daily lives

I would also be open to discussing my life as an author and the writing and publishing industry.
