Biography
Brenda has always had a fondness for folk and wonder tales, beginning with a grim book of Grimm’s Fairy Tales. When she moved to a new city with her husband and children, she found the Burlington Storytellers’ Guild was meeting once a month. They were telling stories by heart and it was a new and exciting experience. After being a listener for some time, Brenda began taking workshops and telling stories at cafes. These days, her Happily Ever After is telling stories for children and adults in schools, churches, at festivals, Storytelling Salons and private events. Brenda is a member of the Hamilton Circle, The Storytellers School of Toronto, Storytellers of Canada-Conteurs du Canada and the Uppity Women. She is the artistic director of Storywyse Oral Tradition Storytelling which promotes the art of storytelling in the community.
