Anne will talk about getting ideas for stories and how to begin shaping them into a work of fiction. She will discuss the elements of a story, especially how to develop characters.

Biography
Anne was born in Mobile, Alabama, and studied at Auburn University and The University of North Carolina. She and her husband live in Hamilton, Ontario. Her adult fiction story “Mrs. Danforth’s Dream” appeared in Green’s Magazine, Autumn, 1993. “Pool of Light” appeared in Acclaim (an English magazine which publishes stories short-listed for the Ian St James award) in June 1995. Her first children’s story, “Uncle Cory’s Smile” appeared in the anthology Secrets published by Tundra Books in 2005, and her first (young adult fantasy) novel, Rites of the Healer, was published in September 2006 by Sumach Press.
