Readings
Anne specializes in historical fiction, biographies, and Holocaust literature. She likes to begin her talk with the reasons why she writes and why she chose a particular topic. Anne uses photos and maps to describe the research she did, and then reads excerpts from her book. Anne also brings real objects to her talks and often tells the students about how she found the objects. Anne closes with a question and answer period, and a book signing if time permits.
Depending on the book, Anne is flexible about the grade level and the size of the group. She has spoken to all ages—eight-year-olds to seniors. She prefers speaking to students in a library or classroom. Anne loves to share her passion for reading and writing with people everywhere.

Biography
Anne Dublin was born in a displaced persons camp in Salzburg, Austria, and came to Canada when she was a baby. She grew up in Toronto, and attended York University and the University of Wisconsin.
She was an elementary school teacher of English, French, and library for over 25 years. She taught in Nairobi, Kingston, Winnipeg, and Toronto.
Anne has published two books of historical fiction for children, four biographies for children and young adults, and stories for adults in Parchment magazine. She’s working on two books for children—one is speculative fiction and the other is non-fiction. Anne would rather read children’s books than adult books.
