There are eight categories for the awards including best Children’s Book. For the past few years, the children’s book category has been sponsored by Explora-Toy. Guidelines for submissions are as follows: books must be published in previous calendar year and currently in print, authors must be 16 years or older and currently residing in Hamilton and/or surrounding region. Children’s books may be in either English or French. The winners of the annual Literary Awards are announced at an awards Gala each November.
